    Ricoh sp 4500

    does anyone know how to reset the maint message on a ricoh sp 4500 after replacing the maint kit

    Do you mean MP 4500 , B/W machine? If so then you have to go into Service Mode and in the 7-xxx section there will be counter resets.

      This is a printer. If the maintenance counter is not reset when replacing the units, then you need to go into service mode and reset them from there.

      It does happen every now and then.

        Where does one find this printer?? I've seen SP 3500 or SP 4510, but have never seen an SP 4500. There's an AP 4500, from way back, like 20 yrs ago? Is it not an NA model?

          Having no personal experience with these models, as far as I can tell, the kit that was used and supplies are referred to as type 4500, and used in the SP4510dn/4520dn, etc printers.
          And that's on the poster for not being clear

            New unit detect is turned on by default.
            No need to reset anything.
