    WIM refused to connect

Picked up a government machine MP4002 (G at the end of the serial number) from the wholesalers, get "refused to connect" when trying to log in to WIM. Made sure WIM was turned on in sp mode and it shows web up in telnet.
Can print and scan no problem and of course ping it. They had this thing setup to just copy.

Any ideas on how to get into WIM?

Check the setting of SP5985-001. It should be set to 1.

nic was on, I can ping, print and scan.

Just got it working, went to system settings-admin tools-erase all memory. It was going to take 2 hours 40 minutes, so I got impatient and hit suspend. after a couple of restarts it did a long format on the hard drive. I had already done the hard drive format in sp mode, but this one took a while, maybe 5 minutes. When it came back up I had to rest the supervisor and admin passwords like a new machine. Now I can log on to WIM like normal, does't look like it nuked the engine data. Don't know what they had set, never had one like that, and we refurbish quite a few machines.

Check security level settings in user tools. If it was a government machine, it is most likely set to custom. That will block WIM and a number of other things.

I can get into WIM now, but network security is on custom, what should i change it to?
Every machine we have in the shop right now was a government machine, all set the same way, have nothing to compare it to.

Set it to the lowest level that will meet the customer's initial needs.

But don't forget to turn off the WSD. It will then go back to custom.
