Ricoh FTP scan windows 10 through domain

    Hi,

I have tested windows 10 ftp scan using the windows 10 build in ftp features. user guide How to set up and manage an FTP server on Windows 10 | Windows Central. It works in my office because we are using simple computer network infrastructure.

But at the client side, it gives me alot of headache. They have domains, maybe firewalls and etc. The scanning using ftp does nt work.. When I test scan it stuck on waiting.....

Please advice is there anything i need to bypass like the port no. or anything?

    I have tested
-add ftp server to windows firewall. Allow public and private network,
    - add user and set only specific user can access to the ftp folder.
    - add the ricoh machine ip to the ftpserver as allowed to access.

I'd prefer using smb rather than ftp.
By the looks of it seems to be your ftp input settings is incorrect, try checking it again, folder path, login details, etc..

If a customer has a Domain server you can not it working put it back on the customers IT to setup permissions. Of course they will probably complain that IT is slow to respond and/or they will charge us. Unless you are certified or absolutely sure you know what you are doing on the server side it is best to leave to them. Cost of business.

Generally on a server you will want the FTP to run as a service that way nobody needs to be logged in to the computer. On servers and domain server I always try an use a "local" account so as not to worry about Domain permissions.
