Have a customer that was able to run Glossy or Matted stock through Trays 2 & 3 provided it was within the correct paper weight as listed in the Paper Library. After downloading Package Firmware version 10.00 and Paper Library version 12 this is no longer the case with this machine. The Manual Paper Library does not list Coated:Glossy or Coated:Matted as options to run through the Paper Trays 2 & 3 (regardless of paper weight), nor does it offer Custom Paper Size for Trays 2 & 3.
I have gone back to the firmware listed in Package Firmware version 9 but this has not helped any. I have also gone back to Paper Library version 9 but again no help. I know the Product Support Guide does not list Glossy or Matted stock (of any weight) as a paper type available for Trays 2 &3. Any such selection even in the Custom Paper Library is grayed out as a selection option for the Paper Trays. FYI no changes or patches were added to to the Fiery.
This is annoying because the customer has been able to run 11 X 17 Glossy (Thick Paper 1) from Tray 2 & 3 but that is no longer the case. They have to run it through the Bypass so if they need a job run of 1500!!##! Needless to say they are incredibly frustrated. Seems for an entry level Production machine it has very limited capabilities.
