Ricoh MPC 3500 Photo conductor unit is not set

Can anyone help me with this one. i Have a Ricoh MPC 3500 onboard a cruise ship with a problem that says : Photo Conductor is not set. ( Cyan ) Set toner cartridge correctly. I have done that in Sp mode SP-3902-xxx to no avail. Anyone has other ideas that i can try.

    Thanks Much

Check the connection to the TD sensor on the cyan PCU.
Check that female connector at the rear of the machine has not been broken and pushed in.

I had a new Savin 4540 with the toner set issue. First is was the black, then after replacing the black toner, it said the magenta toner was not set. At this point, I removed the back cover and swung out the control to get a better look at the wiring. Right off both the black and magenta toner detect sensors, I found a wire that was bent around the holder/guide with enough tension to discolor the shielding. Upon unplugging the wiring harness, I found that the wires easily pulled apart. When I called to report this to my tech support manager, with Ricoh, he said that he had heard of problems with wiring harness... just not in this area of this machine. After repairing the wires, the machine worked fine.

The first law states that energy is conserved: The change in the internal energy is equal to the amount added by heating minus the amount lost by doing work on the environment.
