    MP-402spf

I have a MP-402spf that has a waste toner full light on and I can't find anywhere to reset this. The pcdu life counter is reset in the PM sp and this is an AIO type unit so it should reset on install any help would be appreciated!

The waste bottle is part of the toner cart.

yes, as I said it's an AIO (all in one) however it has a waste toner full flag that I can not find anywhere in the manual. There are references to alarm on/off and a output value that you can view ie 7-931-017. I just am at a loss here
as to why it does not auto reset with a new unit.
      Thanks for the reply!

        Re: MP-402spf

A poor electrical connection between the Waste Toner Sensor Terminals of the Transfer Unit and the mainframe has caused the unit to falsely display a “Waste Toner Almost Full” message
        IMPORTANT:
        • Clean the entire surface of all five (5) Waste Toner Sensor Terminals.
        • Make sure that no cloth fibers stick to the Waste Toner Sensor Terminals. (Fibers may become attached to the terminals during the cleaning process.)

        Found on My-Ricoh

        Hope this helps

Oops this may be the wrong model but let it up just in case

Yeah, I have seen that one but unfortunately it's for a copier with a right side door and transfer belt in it. This one is more like a printer cartridge unit machine.

The toner cartridge is separate from the PCU, change the toner.

They are not AIOs the toner and drum are separate. Most likely the waste toner is actually full, or the chip on the toner cart thinks it is. Try replacing the toner cart first. If that doesn't work the four prong connector that touches the chip on the toner cart can get damaged, even if it looks perfectly fine it might be dead.
