Ricoh MP171 - no PM call message on LCD.

Hi, I got a Ricoh MP171, the machine has PM counter: 20.000 pages (7-803), PM interval (5-501) is set to 5000 pages and I just dont have Service call/PM message on LCD display? Why? Is there any other service mode to turn on or off? Maybe in factory mode?
    Thanks.

because you aren't looking at the LIFE counters on the supplies... you are only looking at the INTERVALS not PAGE COUNTS

is life on the parts ONLY 20,000? seems kinda low even for a home office unit

your PCU has a 45,000 page life so sounds like no parts are needed...

is there a problem with PQ or other?

Im form Europe, its hard to write for me in english, I will write it again:

My MP171 machine doesnt display PM alert/call. PM - means for me - maintenance service, not part replacement.
The copier have produced more than 20.000 pages, maintenance interval is set to 5.000 so the message sould appear on lcd display.

          5-501 set to 5 (5.000)
7-803 shows more than 20.000 pages

Long time ago I had similar problem. I don't remember clearly but it was related to @remote under NRS FUNCTION (5-816-1 and 3, set from 1 to 0). After restart, copier starts to display pm on LCD. I hope that understand your problem well [emoji4]

Thanks I will check these modes but NRS Functiuon flag is set to "0", maybe the other one blocks it.

Usually the PM Call message will come on at or after 45,000 when a part probably needs to be replaced. At least that's what the PCDU's are rated for. Have never actually set these PM alarms before.
According to the manual, The number you set 5-501 to should be multiplied by 1,000. So 5 = 5,000 and 5,000 = 5,000,000!!
Are you wanting to go to the customers location every 5,000 prints for a specific reason??? These machines generally run the full 45k Maint. Interval without needing attention.

EDIT: Maybe try turning 5-507-005 to 1, Supply alarm for Drum.

Its quite old machine and we do a cleaning and maintenance inspection twice a year, i know 5-501 value is multiplied by 1000, Its set to 5. This machine is customers one, not mine, its not a lease.
Something blocks the message, but what? Its not a first machine with such issue.

PM stands for Preventive Maintenance which translate to replace parts before they fail not after. If you really want to do periodic cleaning and inspection, use your calendar.

Ok but im not asking about how often and why I do PM 2 times a year but why the copier doesnt show the message on lcd screen?

And the machine has separate drum unit counter so PM counter (7-803 / 5-501) can be used for many different reasons.... for example: the machine works in dusty envirovement so optics have to be cleaned few times a year...

So still doesnt know why that machine doesnt show this message non LCD screen?
                      5-501 is set to 5 (5000 pages), 7-803 shows +/- 20.000 pages?

I talked with friend about your problem. He told me that the copier with old firmware may not display pm. Be sure that you have latest firmware in copier.

Have you turned the supply alarms on in SP mode? The default is OFF.
