    Savin CL27DN error sc 490

    Hello,

Just moved to a new office with the savin cl27dn. Never had a problem with the printer until after the move. Figure maybe the printer was bumped or jolted during move.

When I first started printer, got a grinding noise from back on warmup and calibration. Happened for 10-15 startups. Now noise worse and longer. Does two long (5-10 seconds each) grindings and the flashes error code sc490. I have since unplugged. I am nowhere near a tech (4 hrs to nearest service). I would like to solve on my own if possible. Savin's website is useless.

Does anyone know the problem? Can I fix it or should I wait for the next time I head to civilization??

    Thanks.

I would start by opening the side panel and checking everything for any visable damage and reseating all the units.
Does sound like something was slightly dislogded during moving if it was working fine prior to moving.
