Ricoh MP C3300 has a operation panel screen is blank.

the copier power up notice red light on alert and printer button also has a red light. i can push copy/fax/print/ buttons and the light changes to those items. i have swap op panel assy/controller/ power supply/BICU board same problem op display screen is blank. Has anybody had this problem before.

well it s a known issue when the laser unit brd goes it takes out a small resistor on the BICU brd.
If you pull the laser unit out and look at the board you will see brd components"i forget what they are called as its been a while"
are bad.

From Goose's Guide:

D023/D025	BLANK DISPLAY	display goes black - update scanner fw to 1.24 or higher & system fw to 1.24 or higher
D023/D025	BLANK DISPLAY	No display - check for input voltage, replace PSU as needed
D023/D025	BLANK DISPLAY	no display - cracked soldering on polygon mirror motor pcb
D023/D025	BLANK DISPLAY	no display - update LCDC fe to 1.09 or higher

Also check if there is an image on the display, by shining a light at it, if you have SC202 replace the polygon and BICU as a pair.

you are correct shine light has sc 202 code thanks for the help.

if you pull the laser motor brd you will see some worn solder joints.
If you search on CT you will find which "tiny" resistor you need to solder on.
you can find spare ones from old brds or bad brds,a very common component on ricoh brds..

I would add that both BICU and Laser Polygon Mirror must be done as a pair - if you do BICU only polygon motor will kill another BICU. Do Not chance it

i found information on the BICU resistor 294 ran a wire over it and everything came back up. Thanks for the help everybody. another job well done by the community of techs.
