SP 5310 DN will only print from Bypass

Just worked on a 5310DN and I could only get it to print from the bypass tray. Every time I closed the bypass, it showed a message of add paper to the bypass. I tried to print a counter sheet from the paper tray and it would only take from the bypass. I went into options and made tray 1 the primary option. That didn't solve the problem. The customer said that they used to be able to print from Tray 1, but it changed at some point. I have to go back today to install a new fuser and was wondering what other options I could try. Is this a customer issue that they have it set to print to bypass only?

Check the tray set and paper level actuators underneath the machine. They are a bugger for breaking off. Has anyone changed the paper type or disabled auto tray select for tray 1?

Deff check the paper setting- They may have a paper size wheel on the paper tray that has been moved

Changed the settings back to feed out of tray 1 and not the bypass. It sent an add paper to the paper tray 1one message. The tray is already full of paper. Tried switching trays with another machine and the tray feed fine in that machine. Neither will feed in the damaged machine

Check the paper end actuator and sensor then call a tech.
