    Ricoh MP C3001 trays 3,4 no detected

    i have new ricoh mp c3001 with trays 3 and 4 no detected, need enable in sp mode? o where i view

    thx and where i download new firmware and lenguaje?

      If the main machine does not detect the option trays it's possible that the PCB in the tray unit is damaged or has a loose or disconnected wire. You don't need to enable anything for it to work, just dock the machine to the trays.

      Firmware of which language is a part of is only available from Ricohs tech site. There may be companies out there with connections to Ricoh that sell it though.

      You'd be better off explaining what it is you hope to fix with new firmware as that may not be the cure.

          I have seen the bracket for the connector between the main frame and the tray unit get bent and not making connection.

              Make sure the paperbank you have set the copier on top of is the correct one for that model. I had some guys set up a new copier once and found this to be the problem. It took me a few minutes to figure it out because the copier seemed to fit atop the base perfectly...it just couldn't recognize it due to incompatability.

                  i dont think its new and why not ask who you bought it from the scoop...
                  I ve seen on the mpc300 series the plastic housing get knock out and it wldnt read the tray beneath it.A real PITA to get to on that model.
