    SC 670 (MP 201SPF)

After updating the engine firmware by mistake, SC 670 appears in the display. It seems that the firmware loaded is old version. Is there any way to recover the machine from that error except by replacing the controller?

You could try reloading just the System/Copy firmware in the romdata folder, and see if that recovers it.

    Good luck.

after switching the machine on, performing firmware update is showing in the display. Then it will throw SC 670.

Is the ONLY thing on the card the System/Copy firmware?

no..there are system copy, network support, network doc box, printer firmware in the SD card.

Is it possible to download the engine firmware from the machine of same model unto SD card?

Remove everything except for System/Copy, and see if that resurrects your machine.
