    Ricoh Aficio 171 SPF Fax send by mail? Possible?

    Hi Experts,

    is it possible to send a fax from the Ricoh 171 SPF to E-Mail Address? Normally, a fax is send by Phonenumber.
    I checked the Addresslist (Contact List of the Printer) and I see Faxnumer and E-Mail Address.

    Please let me know, is it possible to create an Contact and I can decide to send the Fax to Faxnumber or to an eMail Address.
    Is a howto available to configure the printer (Mailserver Settings ...)?

      You obviously have no understanding of the term SPF. It stands for Scan Print Fax. Note that the S which comes first in SPF is for Scan which includes Scan to email. You have one address book. It is used not only for Fax but also, and in most cases, for Scan. Many if not most companies prefer to do Scan to email instead of Fax.

          thanks for the hint. Of course, Scan to email ist the decided option.

          I will check the possibilities to use an internal E-Mail Server. Is there any Example Configuration / HowTo to describe the SMTP Serverconfiguration on
          the 171 SPF?
