Re: Ricoh MPC5503 need firmware file help
I've had a few machines do quirky things, and those all traced back to bad power coming in. Had one throwing random fuser codes every other week, and when I checked the line voltage coming in it was hovering around 113 VAC.
Power company installed a new transformer for the building, 125 VAC line voltage.... no more codes.Comment

If by "Line Conditioner", you mean a Surge Protector, those are excellent for voltage SPIKES... but they don't do squat for a voltage "Sag", or low AC Line Voltage. That's one of the reasons I carry a line tester now. Anytime I come across a machine doing random weird things, after checking the obvious on the machine itself I start looking at the AC going to the machine.Comment
