    Fuser swappable?

Had a user break the pressure arm on their 3352, which also cracked the set screw on the same side so the fuser won't stay in place. The only whole unit I have until the replacement arrives to get them up and running is one from an old MP 2510. Any chance it will work as at least a short term fix?

If it was a 3350, the answer would be "Yes". The 3352 may LOOK similar, but they are not interchangeable.

    ...sorry

You can only try it, they are physically similar so theoretically it should work.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

I could have sworn that back in the days of the 3350, the old fusers would work. Things have changed with the newer heat tube in the 52 series boxes, but I may give it a shot in the short-term. The only real issue would be if the two are wired differently.

There might be some difference in the lower fusing frame.
          MP 3352 PN D1204072
          MP 3350/51 PN D0194072
To correct the cracked set screw, you need to replace Frame: Fusing: Lower.

Lower frame is on order. They're a pain to rebuild but with the pressure arm causing a chunk of the damage, the customer's management has agreed to do the repair as T&M.

Confirmed: they are not interchangable. All I get with the older fuser in the machine is Fuser Setting Error. I'll be rebuilding the lower frame of the fuser this weekend to get out to them on Monday.

I believe the pinout on the connectors are slightly different.

A quick look at the Point to Point would answer that .

I know this is a partial Hijack, but sort of relevant.
Coincidentally, I just ran across a situation where I may have to swap out an MP3053 fuser, and I'm wondering if the MP 3352 may work?
Anyone have any experience with those units?
I know the lower frame P/N is different, but it may not matter?

even a MP2851or mp2550 will work but will need to swap the wire harness the pins outs is what is different on them. The mp 2852 will work in the mp3053 with no problem. harness is the same.
