    IM350 new setup

So we got one of these new IM350 in. set up the copier . updated firmware.
Web page is working .. set to DHCP for nic settings
Ricoh sales guy comes in and tries to set up I.C.E. says it doesnt work.
I went to see whats up it says no network connection to the internet.
I pulled out the Web Browser shortcut and placed it on the screen and It doesnt even let me get to Google. no web access.

Everything looks good in ipv4 settings i have the proper dns (dhcp) proper gateway (dhcp) and valid ip ..(I can access the web page) and subnet is 255.255.255.0
Is there anyway the web browse function is disabled somehow? i cant find anything on the web page.

    ps wifi is disabled

Since WiFi is disabled, did you try connecting your laptop to the network using the same wall jack and cable currently connected to the IM350 to see if you actually have an active connection with internet access? Turn the WiFi on the laptop and use the same network settings as on the IM50.

Does it work if you network it without DHCP? Is it just the web browser function that can't connect, or can nobody print to the MFP at all?

I have now set it to static ip. Yes I can print. It's just the Web browser doesn't work. And that means that I.C.E. doesn't work as it uses the browser.

I assume that you mean that you can access the internal web page of the IM350. That does not answer the question of whether the port on the switch that the IM350 is connected to is allowed to access the internet. There are controllable switches where IT can specify what can be accessed through each port.

Can you ping 8.8.8.8 from interface settings?

yes! that seems to work.. rechecking dns .... dns is set correctly ...
dns 1 is set to gateway. It is also our dhcp/dns server / router
dns 2 is set to google. 8.8.8.8
dns 3 is set to Shaw cable.. our isp dns.

makes no sense it should work

Maybe add 8.8.8 as the third DNS on the IM350.

actually, i dont think its proxy if you can already ping 8.8.8.8.
