    Email Reporting Ricoh

    Hey all

Just having an issue setting up the 03s and 02s to email counter reports, I've found a thread in which a tech said if the options are missing you can just update the firmware and they will display... I've had no luck with this the options are still missing after update.
    Anyone know of a fix?

    Cheers

If you have a machine with the SOP, I believe that you can setup counter emailing by using the Smart Operation Panel Designer tool. The other option is @remote.

The newer machines (02 series and newer colour boxes and some 03 series and newer B&W with up to date firmware) have the option to send meters via email in SP mode. A working SMTP setup must exist in user tools, as used for scan to email or fax forwarding.

      SP5-866-110 set to 1
SP5-866-121 enter email to send meter to.

Some also have on demand email reports that are setup through WIM. They are sent when the machine receives a trigger email. Does require the machine being setup to receive email, ei POP before send or POP at fixed intervals.

GW Email.... I've got it set up on one C6003 machine so far, and every month I get the meter reading just fine.

If the customer does NOT want the machine to have email capabilities, this won't be an option.

I should of been more specific, I'm talking about the options in 5-866 being missing even after a firmware update.
Was wondering if there's something I'm missing

It might be one of those moved to Factory Mode SP.

I believe that it can only be configured on machines of the series -03 -04 or newer and with the firmware updated. In the mp c2011 I could not do it.

make sure in user tools that file transfer smtp server email is setup and auto specify administrator is turn on and administrator email is enter.

if you have update to latest firmware on copier and you don't see 5-866 then copier doesn't have that feature. i have a mp c4502 it has that feature in service mode. 5-866- set the following

                  001 to 0
                  110 to1
114 set to what day to send check 113 will show when next counter report date will send
                  115 hour

112 for testing. I had problem where it said it fail so two things i made sure of was setting 113 ahead of the day i was testing also turn off copier and restart copier.

How did you managed to upload the destination address? I was trying it with an SD card, created a txt file for the required destination. When I read it from the SP mode, it says failed.
Almost created a ticket to ricoh for an explanation.
                      Aye! Cut the crap

I just keyed it in manually in SP mode.

i left out a step to tell it where to email counter report see below.

make sure in user tools that file transfer smtp server email is setup and auto specify administrator is turn on and administrator email is enter.

                          110 to1
114 set to what day to send check 113 will show when next counter report date will send
                          115 hour
121-123 enter email where you want the report to go to0.

Your missing a important step to this procedure, After setting 110 to a 1 you need to power down and up the machine and then input the rest of the settings.

I own MP 3353 and some fields are missing, i only have a Report validity and Add Sate Field, firmware are up to date, so does it mean that model cant send reports via 5-866 method? IF doesnt, what these modes are for?
