    MPC3002 sc101 error

we have an mpc3002 that intermittently has an sc101 error we have change the lanp and harness and led relay board the copier seems to work ok on the glass.
i got the Engineer to check the earth cable ob the dplex harness and to check the springs are located correctly on the transfer box.
we have also checked the transfer belt unit all for eletrical noise to no avail.
    any other ideas welcome

Hy, have the scanner unit only one central rail? If so, you have to lubrificate that rail. I remember there is a tech bulletin for the Mpc2004 for that issue

Make sure the black strip on the slit glass is on the left side if it has one

We used to have this issue due to a faulty connector where the adf plugs into.
Swap out the connector and give that a shot.

Are the optics dirty? Did someone clean optics recently? May have moved one of the mirrors out of position?
Is the White Plate clean? Is the ADF glass clean?
When you replaced those parts (lamp, relay board, etc.) were they new or used? Maybe damaged the harness when re-installing or damaged connector to LED. Or maybe connector not seated fully on Board side.
          Could try an IPU.

Could also be heat in the scanner cavity.
            We have had this once.
We removed the top cover of the IPU, solved!
But that was an mp4001 and customer was using the scan function very intens.
