Tip to save "noise" headaches on MP 2554/3054/3554/4054/5054/6054 series

In case you haven't run into this one: Complaint strange squealing noise or binding noise. Often when go to check out can't duplicate. Then once hear noise appears to come from various areas.
We have resolved on 6 different machines where issue was auger in waste toner binding. Since we were often getting quite varied meters out of the items usually in PM kits, we were replacing on an as need be basis and sometimes would simply dump waste toner. (only worth it in emergency -due to issue of binding noise etc - and this has happened even on ones we haven't "dumped".

+1 on this. Have had a lot of machines in this series with that problem. Other Techs will go out, turn on the drum/dev motor and hear the noise, and go straight to dismantling the PCDU and oiling bushings and such. This has never solved it! 8 times out of 10 it's that damn auger in the Waste Bottle. Now when we get those calls, I check or tell the other techs to check on that first, can save a lot of time (unless it's PM time).

It's in the waste toner bottle itself. These bottles are manufactured way flimsier than older style waste bottles.....so replacing them is better that emptying them.
