    GBC Streampunch III

If anyone out there has one of these on their machine, I would like to know how you handle the Die Set that the customer uses. When they need to be replaced do you have the customer pay for this or is this something you include in your m/a? Thanks for the info.

GBC says they are guaranteed for 500k punches on general copy work, but if you only punch 20lb (75gsm) paper and you keep the die well oiled (assuming it has an oil pad - the 3 hole doesn't) you can expect to get upwards of 2M out of most die sets. Most of my customers who have a StreamPunch are print shops, and they expect to have to maintain / replace their dies periodically, although unless they punch EVERYTHING 2M punches will likely be the life of the machine.

It is a supply item like staples.
If it were a service part only the tech could change it.
Do you get 20,000 copies everytime from one bottle of toner?
      Same principle.
      Good luck.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
