[Misc] Print from Mac on thicker paper setting

Hi all,
I am working on Ricoh MPC4503. Printing from an Mac computer to the 2nd tray which set on Thicker papers mode. It comes up 2 issues.
A. The copier has red light and said paper type mismatched. It requires manually select the 2nd tray.
B. It only prints out 1 page even though with multiple pages were sent.
Please advise of any that would be very appreciated.

The Mac computer use the Ricoh Mac driver that downloaded from Ricoh website.

My Mac knowledge is a little rusty.. but when you do file print, select tray 2, then select the paper type to avoid the mismatch error. Then save it as a preset. Then when they need to print on that type of paper, it will be file print, select the preset..

I love iphone but hate all other Apple products... especially the mac
Anyway back to the point, yes 1st problem is the settings you send through the driver (which tray and paper thickness) have to matchup exactly with what the copier is set to.
2nd problem is when you have to manually select the tray on the copier after paper mismatch it will always only print just 1 copy of it regardless of how many you asked for.
This 2nd problem can be avoided by going into the print settings on copier and turning 'auto continue' on but I would heavily advise against doing that as it can cause very annoying problems down the line

At the machine go to "user tools/printer features/system" there is a setting for paper tray media type. Set your bypass and any other trays to "printer command". Show your customer the grams per meter squared number on the ream and advise them to use the that number as a guide for the job they are trying to output. The driver command setting will bypass any paper type mismatch at the machine level. As with the PC pcl driver the MAC ppd will also list under "printer features/paper/paper type" the g/m2 weight of the paper.
