can you give more information . does copier display show getting ready to down load firmware if not then not seeing sd card. One thing if you have to big of memory card wont work. I tried using 256 g sd card and would not work most you can go for right now is 128g sd card . check software make sure it starts with romdata folder showing.

C3502 and MP 301?? I wouldn't use an SD card larger than 2 GIG on them! I don't think the controller on the machine will recognize anything more than 2 Gig. Once you get to the "3" series and up, I think the controllers are a little more forgiving.

The SD card might need to be formatted. For bast results use the Panasonic format utility. You can find it on TSRC.

Another possibility is there might be something other than the romdata folder on the root directory of the SD card.

you can also try doing remote firmware with a laptop. It's slower since you can only do one at a time, but if you get engine and system first you could try the sd card again.

Make sure firmware updating is not set to 'Prohibited' in User Tools, under extended security.
