Anyone else experienced this new issue? At setup if you leave the supervisor password blank at some point it changes itself. This does not happen with the admin password. It has happened before and after firmware updates. We opened a ticket with Ricoh and they said that this issue does not exist. Recommended we buy new NVRAM (Although we know how to reset it without NVRAM). Just checking if any other dealerships have run into this.

Not yet, but we don't have that many IMC Series machines out there yet. Thanks for the heads up though....will keep an eye out. -
Re: IMC Series Supervisor Password
We always put a password in when we set the machine up. The setup instructions for these machines I believe actually have you turn this off in the service mode then finish setup. At completion of setup and at the customer site Ricoh wants the customer to input this information. Of course customer forgets this info and then a NVRAM needs to be purchased.Comment

Re: IMC Series Supervisor Password
The only time that I have had the problem is when either has changed it right before being fired or a former Ricoh tech went to work for a competitor. Either way you should be able to reset to the default passwords through Factory SP.Comment
