print interface settings and check for access control.
or lower down network security level to 0.

Did someone try to create a device certificate? An improper device certificate will cause your error. If so try resetting NCS, SP 5801-11.

If you ran 5801-01, I hope you have the birth certificate.

Exactly. If you did 5801-01, the lack of Web Image Monitor access is the LEAST of your worries now...

no Slim said 5801-11 not 01...

01 can be a MAJOR HEADACHE .. do you have a service manual?
or at LEAST the list showing SP mode definitions?
as mentioned, you are in for a TON of work -=IF=- you have no service manual

5801-01 should be THE very last resort.

Especially on a color machine. Good grief.

You could have waited for other inputs. Well, good luck putting back the values though

I thought about scanning them at new machine setup just to save a copy in case it ever got lost but never took it seriously enough to start doing it.

Top technicians print the SMC non-default SP 5990-006 at every service call and keep the last 2 or 3 in case they can't find the birth certificate. With this model you can use SP 5992-006 to export it to an SD card.

some years back, I had all our techs doing just that, plus the network settings pages, too.

I tried to get them to put a copy of those on a shared network folder in the office, but I guess that was too much to ask.

After begging for about 6 months, and getting almost zero cooperation, I threw in the proverbial towel.
