WSD is a swearword. Use scan to folder instead, much easier on a single PC setup.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Even installing a printing device as a WSD is a mistake. It glitches, and it ceases to function for no apparent reason whenever it wants to. I cant even imagine trying to reliably scan from a WSD. Guaranteed weekly service call, I would say.

Wew thanks for the info. i thought that would be the best options to be used for windows 10 because we have an AF MP5002 seems to have scanning issue (scan to folder to win 10)

Web Services for Devices or Web Services on Devices (WSD) is a Microsoft network connection protocol. Even if you could get it to connect for scanning you would still have to use SMB to send the data. SMB is the scanning issue with Microsoft and Apple. Apple discontinued the inclusion of Samba, an implementation of SMB, a few years ago.

Your scanproblems are due to the WSD usage (wsd port)!!!

For WSD to work for scanning, you'll also need the Windows 10 Scanner app from the Microsoft Store, or another application that will support WSD. Really it's just a modern equivalent for TWAIN scanning, but it is helpful for scanning photos since you can choose what part of the image to scan and also use file formats not supported by the MFP otherwise like PNG.

First make sure that your PC can even see the scanner available as a possible device from Settings > Devices.
