    MP 5500 Exposure problem

Hi Guys were back from out Chrissie break and the first thing that crops up is a Mp 5500 (B246) that prints perfectly but is very dark when you photocopy. The optics are squeaky clean. Any ideas? Lamp or CCD?

Does it make any difference between using the adf and laying the original on the glass? Also, this may sound lame, but check to see if you have the latest firmware installed. I am assuming by "dark copy" that it is all gray in the background.

Try to execute SP4605-002 (CCD Adjustment).

Copy a 2 sided original - if the image is normal from the rear side CIS it's in the optics if not it's electronics
