    Pro 8110s stapler

While troubleshooting SC720-35 (Stack Plate Motor Error) in a SR5060 booklet finisher, I noticed that the aluminum guide that sits on top of the staple unit was damaged. I have removed it and tried to bend it back into shape, but it was too badly damaged. So far, the staple unit seems to work fine with out.

Does anyone know how I can replace this guide and will there be long term issues if I don't replace it? The parts catalog was no help since it just shows a gray block for the stapler unit.

    Thanks

There is a tech bulletin for this fault: RD734013a.pdf

Also check the plates on the Vibrating Plate Assembly: D7342716 (Front) and D7342718 (Back), they usually get a groove dug into them that slows the movement speed of the stapler.

Thank you, that was helpful. Don't know how I missed this TSB.
