Lanier LD435c - How to Reset to factory settings?

Off the bat, I am not a tech. I am a self trained network guy running a small office on an even smaller budget. We purchased at auction a low mileage Lanier LD430c which is full of address books, etc. I tried to delete them, but I do not have administrators rights. We have no idea how to reset the machine. We are not trying to reset counts, just everything else. It is our intention to hire an independent copy guy/gal, to adjust machine, set up network, etc., just have not found one yet

Two Questions: 1) How do we reset to factory settings? reset password for administrator? 2) Any online source for finding independant repair guy/gal to program machine for scanning/printing? I tried Craigs List but guy no showed.

    Thanks

    try default setting!!

The default username to login is: admin with the password field left blank. Once logged in press user tools, system settings, admin tools, address book management, delete and highlight each entry one by one...

Once completed go to User tools, System settings, Interface settings and add the IP Address, subnet mask and default gateway of your network.

Plug into network, load printer driver and away you go.

To reset the admin password log in as supervisor with no password and this will allow you to change the admin password.

For scanning use one of the two guides attached depending upon which you want to do, scan to email or to folders.

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

Thank you for your reply. The downloads are GREAT. Any idea where I can locate an independant copy guy? Is there a board that posts services available? I am having difficult time finding a copy repair/programming guy that is an independant.

I'd be happy to service your machine if you'd like to pay all expenses from California

I know you are on a tight budget but calling a local Ricoh Dealership is probably your best bet. Ask for an estimate and put that machine on a service contract...you'll be sorry down the road if you have to pay as you go.

Thanks. I think that the service contract may be cheaper than a trip from Cal. Also, not quite certain you would appreciate the 6 inches of snow falling.

Huh? Snow in Miami? Or do you mean "snow"? I might travel from VA for 6" of that.

You never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it.
