Why doing a Memory clear after changing developer???
Normally if you enter again 2801 you can digit again and press "#" . It's not a "one time value".... You can digit again and again.

You have bricked machine with memory clear, change dev again and any other parts that are due, input factory data from birth certificate then initialise dev. Good luck.
        NEVER CLEAR ALL MEMORY!

That model was known to have mag brush ground and drum ground issues on high meters. Also if using aftermarket drums and toner will cause overtoning. as mentioned above start from scratch if possile.
Make sure mag brush is contacting ground in rear, do new developer, drum, wires and grid then go through your adjustments.
FYI! had to replace mag brush a couple of times to stop overtoning.

As for your question concerning the lot number for the developer being cleared, no big gig. It is merely the batch number of the developer and is stored for the record keeping purpose. Should Ricoh discovers a contaminated batch of developer, they will send out bulletin. You can then check the batch number on all your machines.

As to running SP 5801-001, you have cleared ALL the factory settings from memory.

NO!!! Just keep a record of the lot number. If you really want to initialize the development unit again, use another new bag of developer.
