HI Guys, Happy Friday.

this thing is coded out and reboot wont reset. i am thinking its a possible HDD failure.


does anyone know what it is for sure??

and does this box have two HDD's ?

and they are on a server with many people that use it with user codes for separate billing.


i have done a HDD on an old Ricoh aficio 1035 years ago, and it as i remember was strait forward, but that was just a strait copier, no printing or special settings or permissions.


is this an equally similar beast, or should i expect to be wishing i RAN first????

code is for hard drive. i would try to download address book first to see if you can get information from it or try through web monitoring .

When installing a new HDD unit
1. Turn the main power switch on. The disk is automatically formatted.
2. Install the stamp data using "SP5853".
3. Switch the machine off and on to enable the fixed stamps for use.


will need to manually add users info back on to it.

Reinstallation
Explain to the customer that the following information stored on the HDD is lost when the
HDD is replaced:
􀂃 Document server documents
􀂃 Custom-made stamps
􀂃 Document server address book
The address book and document server documents (if needed) must be input again.
If you previously backed up the address book to an SD card with SP5846 051, you can use
SP 5846 052 to copy the data from the SD card to the hard disk.
If the customer is using the Data Overwrite Security feature, the DOS function must be set up
again. For more, see Section 1 (Installation).
If the customer is using the optional Browser Unit, this unit must be installed again. For more,
see Section 1 (Installation).

do you know if i can use a SSD solid state or only HDD?
and does that need to come from Ricoh, or super store??
