What is the jam code displayed? Is there any SC displayed after you open and close the door.

paper jam on finisher exit part
*ok WHAT PART? Can you post the . JAM EXIT area?

      1) Do the paper properties (size and type) on the Copier for all Trays match: a) Display Screen b) printer device settings c) file properties (ASSuming you ARE printing ** which you didn't mention**

      2) ASSuming this machine has had this problem for a bit, did you: a) Confirm no scraps stuck in paper path 2) ALL sensors are operating properly c) You can confirm #1 are all set properly?

      3) Can you print out the SMC report to tray other than finisher? PLEASE DO.

      4) Tech/IT/EndUser?

      5) Have Service Manual?

if you can please print and upload here the first two page of SP5990-004.
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

you said no SC codes, looks like plenty in history, lots of recent jams as well.

I see a large count of J000, jam at power on, and J115, finisher shift motor malfunction. You also have a SC 750, shift motor error, listed from yesterday. It would appear that you have a problem with the finisher shift motor or associated mechanism.

From the J000 I would say that you have a flaky door switch, possibly on the finisher. Either that or you suffer frequent power problems.

make sure that shaft is cleaned and lightly lubed as well it needs to slide smoothly
