    Unplug the hard drive and turn the machine on and see if you get a green print key, I bet you do.

      do as wishbone mentioned. hdd could be faulty.

          ...and annother vote for the HDD, but I also had a loose MBU in the fax option cause this, assuming it has a fax option

              try to reload the engine firmware, it looks like booting problem.

                Had the same problem with Aficio 2035 and solution was one of connectors in power supply unit. But if you don't touch this unit it's rather unlikely to happen. I would try reload firmware firstly.

                    Try at the " Tessa-support" web site, but you may need to have
                    an account. This kind of older product only work with a PCMCIA memory
                    card, and a special software to load it + PCMCIA connector on your
                    computer. Put the card in the service connector on the controler,it's
                    bootable and you just may follow the instructions .

                      you have the reason,I unplugged the hard disk and the copier is work now.I want to know ,how many gigas should the hard disk have?How should I format the hdd.?thanks.

                        any off the shelf, 20G ATA drive will do. No formatting necessary. Jumper as master.
