Very similar but according to the Product Support Guide, all the PM parts are unique to the 2501.

I went thru this a while ago. It will work, but the 2501 pressure roller has a larger diameter. Similar to a 2500.
It would cause a build up on the upper heat roller. I replaced that upper 2-3 times before I just used all OEM rollers made for the 2501. That solved my problem.
