    Lighter bands on Pro C651

Hi folks, on one C651 I have the lighter bands described in RTB 99a for Cian, Magenta and Black, in different shapes.

(sorry I didn't scan the actual prints)
I've chequed the serial number of PCDU's and they are the newer version. I don't have another development units to test if it's a fail from them. I've checked the spring plates and they're OK.
I've forced toner refresh and it still the same problem.
Is there anything I could do before I tell my customer to replace development units?
He uses Ricoh C9100's toner, but I think is the same one.
Looking at the development roller I can see the discrepancy in coverage.
The developer is at 30% of use.
It's the first time I service this customer, could it be that a previous tech rip the development rollers doing a bad cleaning? Are they that fragile that can't recover?
I don't want to make him expend a lot of $$$ and see the same problem again.

I could be wrong but I do not think the Pro C651 and the Pro C9100 use the same. I believe that the C651 used a toner that contained a small percentage of developer to replenish developer lost during printing. If I am correct, your "customer" has now depleted the development units. Correction is going to require completely purging the toner supplies system, replacing the developers and initializing the toner system. Use only Genuine Ricoh developers and toners or you will continue having problems.

According to Ricoh, both toners carries developer inside the bottle. In C651 is 8%. I don't know how much in C9100, but the formula says Ferrite and Manganese Oxide 1-20%.

      Both formulas are identical.
