Ricoh Aficio MPC2500 IDE HDD Replacement

Hello, we have an MPC2500 at the office and apparently its IDE HDD is dying.

Is it possible to make use of an IDE to SATA adapter (one that comes with an external power supply) or will we have to order an IDE drive? There are plently of SATA's laying around here, especially SSDs.

Thanks in advance for your input.

You could try. But you can get Western Digital WD400 40GB drives online for $40 or less. Considering that the launch date for that model was 6/09/2006 and production was discontinue in January 2009 you might be better off replacing it. Ricoh ended direct field support in January 2011 and assured parts available ended in December 2015.
