    [Misc] MP C3001 Transfer

    Hey guys,
Have a MP C3001 with a broken transfer roller frame. Looking through the parts manual and I'm unsure which part to order? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jake

I believe there was a bulletin a few years ago that gave all the part numbered needed to repair broken units or modify those that were not yet broken.

I don't have the bulletin for the C3001 but do have it for the C4000, attached. The 2 assemblies are similar but some parts number might be different. If it is the plastic pivot pin for the case that is broken, be sure to replace all parts listed. You will be asking for trouble if you don't. The stopper PN D0296316 will break when the duplex unit is closed and the PTR and its holder will fall out the next time the duplex unit is opened. rfg057345.pdf

Original launch date November 2010. Modification bulletin released in June 2013. The bulletin for the C3001 should have the cut over serial numbers.

Depending on who you source your parts from your price for these parts individually and as a kit may vary.

All these parts together in a kit are called Ricoh KIT-C3001 TRC Transfer Roller Case Kit - Genuine Ricoh (K0085)
If it works, don't touch it.

Also it's going to be a good idea to swap it as a kit . For example if you order a new Transfer Assembly Holder Guide Plate D089-4664 you'll need to also have the Rear Shaft Holder otherwise you won't be able to install it.

Also very common for the D029-6318 Front Positioning Guide to be damaged when transfer roller break occurs.

If this part is broken and you don't change it 9/10 the transfer roller case will break again because it catches on and gets stuck
If it works, don't touch it.

The company I work for has failed me again, didn't even know there was a kit out because they simply refuse to do the numbers and believe that kits are a waste of money because not all parts are needed which I guess is true in most cases with repairs. But it certainly is not when it comes to maintenance/PM kits.

Believe me, if the case has not yet been updated you will need every one of the parts. The only exception is the screw that you may or may not already have in your screw collection.

I just carry the whole updated assembly. Less to keep up with and remember since I work on everything under the sun, and it's cost is comparable to ordering all parts and assembling on site. D0894551 is the whole case assembled. Minus the little plastic roller holder.
