MP5054 first print (posted on behalf of GeorgeBest due to forum glitch)

    Hi,

Got this MP5054 with a print that is dirty on the first print, as if the fuser is not working correct.
also few stripes visible, looks like coming from the paper guide.
After a few prints its doing allright and no problems.

Only when coming out of standby this problem occurs sometimes, not allways. .

    anyone a clue here . .

    thanks in advance

    Hi GeorgeBest,
I'm not Ricoh tech but looks like you have preheat problem(Fuser can't reach speciefied temperature at first copy).
Can you increase fuser idling in service mode?

Btw, Hadster how you can manage to reply on this? Due forum glitch when someone use print at end of the title thread is opened in printable view and cannot be answered.
I was under impression that even Chuck Norris cannot reply, you must be better

Sorry! I was concentrating on the issue. Simple fix hopefully=clean fuser entrance guides. Also check engine firmware to be at or above 1.11:03.

In all likely hood, it is not a fusing problem. The machine is most likely past PM count on the PCU or the HVPSU is bad. Martini were notorious for about a 2 inch lead edge background on the first page when the charge corona was well past PM count and the drum was weak.

But the potential problem is still there.

Since you replaced both the fuser and the PCDU at the same time, it is now even more difficult to pinpoint where the problem was in the first place.
