It is possible. Slightly complicated for someone not experienced though.

First make sure that the machine has PostScript option installed if the users are using Mac because without PostScript driver you can't implement restrictions on Mac and you're wasting your time.

Then restricting colour and lock print do not need to go hand in hand. You can restrict colour prints without having to manually release it from the machine with a code because the colour restriction runs automatically in the background. Likewise you can hold or lock both b&w or colour prints without usage restrictions active.
So here goes...starting with restricting colour

Now we want to go to the machines address book. Either under user tools on the machine itself or the web browser. Assuming you have scanning set up you simply have to give each user an access/pin code and tick permission to print colour. You need individual codes for all users printing colour if they want to pull a report but you can also share a single code with multiple users if the aim is simply restricting colour prints.
Now you you want to restrict colour prints under device authorisation/management.

Send a colour test page from PC and if locked correctly the job will send but nothing prints out.

Next you need to program the user code on each PC that is allowed to print colour. For this you HAVE TO use the correct driver downloaded from my-ricoh.com because the Ricoh Class driver windows 10 installs doesn't give the option for a user code, same as the generic Mac PCL driver.

Send a colour test print again. If done correctly it will print. If there is a problem the print will disappear

Lastly lock and hold print are also selected on the driver. Hold print stores job and is released from machine simply by selecting the user's name on job list. Lock print stores it under name but also requires a code. You simply have to select the option on the driver and program the details. The release code does not have to match the restriction code because they run seperate from each other.

It's early and do this process on autopilot already so may be a bit vague or use wrong descriptions because I don't have access to a machine right now. If you run into problems just reply and will try help out more.

Thanks for your information. I did successfully to do lock/hold print job using user code... And release document manually at copier.but when user print ,it directly go to copier without prompt password confirmation at computer, and user need to release documents at copier mannually .. the things is user want when sent a color document ,computer prompt/pop up password verification first. After keyin password then the document release to copier. Any idea?

Ricoh has a PCL6 driver modifier app. PCL6 only. PM me and I will send you the modified file that you will need to replace in the original driver. If you already installed the driver on the workstations you will need to completely remove the driver B4 installing. The driver can also be set up for B\W and signal sided defaults.

For Windows PCs you can use PDPNX, Print Driver Packager NX, from Ricoh to enable the popup window for entering the user code. Compared to the older PDE, Print Driver Editor, PDPNX is a huge download and a major pain to use but Ricoh no longer provides PDE. You can however download it from Softpedia. Ricoh Printer Driver Editor 1.0.1.2 download starting...
