The Fujitsu MHZ2080BH is a SATA drive.



What, are you only 11 or 12? The MP 2550 launched in 2008.

Fortunately I don’t work on equipment older than myself.

I have tried three different kind of 80 GB HDDs but same problem faced even all these hard drives are working well via usb on my computer and my previous hard drive which was installed in machine before was also 80 GB and was performing well.

Then the problem is most likely not the drive itself. that leaves the data cable, the power cable, the HDD PCB (the board mounted to the back of the HDD bracket), a bad connection between the HDD PCB and the controller or the controller.

Was this a new or used HDD?

You can use a used one I usually format that in Widows using a USB caddy & run scan disk etc.

When you first fit the HDD in the Ricoh it should romt you to format.

To enable larger HDD support you'll need to update ALL the firmware files first.

Hay Guys ,
I am facing a problem in Ricoh MP2550 Photocopier showing the SC 860 Error.I have replaced the Hard drive but when try to formate it by 5832 code it shows the message "failed" .I donot know the reason .can some body help me?

Let's take a hint from what the trouble shooting guide in the service manual says. "The hard disk connection is not detected because it is defective or has not been formatted." Try a new set of cables.
