I forgot to mention I need replacement instructions, where do I start?
C'Mon. The service manual is readily available with a 2 second google search, and as far as I know there's no specific instructions for that particular job.
Some jobs just require patience and common sense.
This would be one of those jobs.
Remove fuser.
Remove back cover.
Move BICU board out of the way (4 screws and a few connectors need to come off to get it to flop down and out of the way).
remove the HVPS board (upper left - 4 connectors/ 3 or 4 screws).
remove the “balancing plates” (big metal circular plate) from drum shaft.
Remove a couple metal brackets behind that (one has fuser harness and some others resting on top of it.
move fuser harness connector/ plate out of the way (2 screws).
theres another metal plate with a gear and belt that will come off next.
unhook white plastic solenoid linkage .
remove swivel gear (2 screws and have to finagle it out of there).
Put back together.
Service Manuals can be useful too, but not for this part!
No instructions in manual for this.
Damn! That's impressive, and generous Frohn.
Props to you
I feel like you may have done one of these more recently than I.
There's no way I could remember the steps that clearly (or been bothered to list them)

No need to Google, I have access to every Ricoh manual imagined. The concern is minimizing customer down time. So specific instructions were needed.

Have done more than I care to count!
It was actually one of the first “tests” my boss gave me in my first weeks on a machine in the shop. Handed me the part and a manual and said good luck! Didn’t tell me the instructions don’t exist!
So I Studied the manual, couldn’t find it anywhere, and just started digging in. Needless to say, I removed more than I needed to on that first go around, but figured out how to get it replaced! Nowadays I could probably do it in my sleep.
