I tried to fix this one as well. Spent hours of workshop time and got no-where with it. Tried swapping every thing between to engine units and all I eneded up with was two faulty units. My best theory was the ribbon cable was damaged. Throw it away and save your sanity! The things clunker.

        SC202

If the carriage slide is out of position the printer can throw up SC202 or start to jam at areas A and C. If you take the carriage unit out completely and look on the rail on the right hand side towards the back end you will see a small hole. Slide the maintenance unit (make sure you lined up the heads of the triangles to release the lock for the maintenance unit first) until a white part can be seen through the hole in the rail. Then lift the maintenance unit up a little and insert a small screwdriver into the hole and push until you hear a click..I've had this fault a few times and this usually fixes it.
        Good luck
