    IS there a limit on how many characters on a email address to program in on mpc3503?

    HI
    I had a mpc3503 that wanted scan to email and programm their
    mpc3503. it seems it only allowed me 20 characters?

    IS that normal or is their a setting in user tools or service mode?

      There is a 20 character limit to the address book entry name but not the actual email address. Is the customer actually trying to use email addresses as the address book entry name?

          thinking about it i let them add it as it was some funky odd name..
          I think that is what it was..
          so email no limit but name 20 limit

          that makes sense...It never got past the next step of name so i think i assumed it was the email being entered..

              I ran into a problem with the CAP/ELP-system on a MP C4504Ex where the scan to email didn't work with addresses that didn't follow a specific standard, in this case that it's only allowed with addresses in this format firstname.lastname@company.com

              People with multiple lastnames in their mail environment were programmed like this name.name1.name2@company.com where it should be name.name1-name2@company.com if they were to follow the official standard.

              Thought it might be a similar problem if there were multiple dots in the mail address.

                  i dont usually program address book at OP PANEL but via WIM..
                  I think is was thinking the first entry was email address not name..
                  I was dealing with people with limited english and was up and out since 4am...
