Can anyone tell me whats the prob. I work mostly w Xerox copier

Getting the polygon motor to work will usually be a temp. fix at best. It will buy you enough time to order a motor and install a new one. Its easy to install and should take care of the problem.

Also, make sure that all of your cooling fans are proplerly working, as this sometimes causes the failure of components like the mirror motor.

anything w/low 300 code is the laser unit. In fact I am working on same code but larger model right now. all ricoh is the same w/this code. laser unit. change it

definately the polygon mirror motor, u know this model has a common problom for the polygon motor that comes pre-installed with the machine, makes an annoying sound when runs n after some days like that u see sc320 displaying on your lcd. temporary solutions include cleaning, but u need to replace as i ll not work for long. once u replace the polygon motor, it ll not bother u.

I kid you not, I ran into one where I was trying to watch the toner motor run. There is a switch to let the machine know that toner is in the machine. Without the toner, I got an sc320. Check to see if that switch is out of position or bad.

sharp AR-5320 polygon motor is compatable to Aficio 1018.

i agree with cleaning and checking the fan for proper ventalation... yap better order the polygonal motor just incase and enterlock switch....

it would be nice to post in engilsh atleast everyone can understand...
