    306z smbv2 and v3

why is it not holding when i select smbv2/smbv3 to be "active" and port number "445" under system settings, interface settings, smb client advanced settings.

It won't hold...tried going in as admin and still nothing. So i can't scan without enabling smb 1.0 which i don't do

I find it's better to update all individual firmware as some modules are more up to date than package

I have also found that if your MFP has a problem caused by a corrupted firmware module Package will not replace it as long as it is current.

Yea i've found this issue interesting. I've always been the one to install the individual modules. However, if you've seen some of my recent threads, i've fixed the last two issues by loading the package firmware. One on this machine, and one on a MP C3503z.

That doesn't mean that package is the way to go...it could simply mean my individual ones were not all up to date (more than likely).

Package firmware is the fastest(???) way to update a machine that has multiple firmware that are out of date.

Fastest but not the most up-to-date
