    Ricoh CL7200

I have a G130 CL7200 color printer that I am getting serious offset on. I am printing a spreadsheet that has 2 bright red rows from lead to trail edge on it. It is offsetting onto the white areas and double imaging. I have replaced both the magenta pcu and development unit. I changed the fill color on the rows to a bright blue and it works fine.It does not like magenta at all. There are no process control errors and it passes line adjustment. I have also tried a new fuser. It made no difference. I have tried every print setup combination I can think of, no effect. I am absolutely stumped on this one. Has anybody ran into anything like this?

I just swapped the transfer unit out of a known fully fuctional machine. This did not resolve the problem.

Just an update. I disabled process control and increased magenta charge bias 30 units. Only 2 out of a run of 20 exhibited even a little offset. I am on the right track, although I may be circumventing another problem.

It has been fixed. The culprit was a BRAND NEW development unit failure. First time I've seen that with OEM consumables on this printer.
