Card Reader Software for Ricoh MFP

    Hi Guys,

I'm looking to get into implementing card readers with Ricoh 3 series and 4 series. I have a couple of the RF IDeas card readers.

I'm looking for your opinion on what are some of the cheapest options available to setup basic authentication where user can swipe their card and be able to copy and or also be able to release print.

I have been using papercut however they are a bit costly and may defeat the cost saving advantages of card reader for the customer.

    Thanks in advance !
If it works, don't touch it.

I hear what you're saying about the Papercut price issue.
In Australia it's around $600 dollars AUD per MF licence.
When you have a fleet of five or more machines it's a hard sell to convince the customer to hand over their cash for licences on top of the machine costs.
As far as Ricoh goes I think your only choices are Equitrac or Papercut unfortunately.
