Ricoh 7100x 5 color , White spot and black print causing a print delay to 4 pg min

We are printing a white spot for the 5th color and a black barcode.

Just white spot with text that is variable, no delay . Great print speeds.

The moment we introduce the barcode that is printing in black we have a huge print delay.

We recreate the templated to see if its a bad file. No improvement,

Is that normal operation for these machines to print this slow when doing a spot color and printing CMYK?

Are you printing through a fiery?
        What driver are you using?
        What port are you using?
Since the bar code is probably printed as a graphic, is the print quality set to vector of raster?
