MP 6002 DF J006 jams

I know this has been covered a while back. Jam (J006), free run ok, intermittent, paper feeding up to reg. sensor, etc. I have read all the previous posts. It seems the cause most likely was the transport motor or the one way bearings /gears. I have exchange the one ways, replaced the lower guide plate. The copier is running on mixed original, jams in copy and scan modes. So my question is, has anyone have anything to add to this discussion, any recent revelations, or known cures. I've been fighting this for a few days now and I fear they are tired of looking at me. ha ha

DF J006 is a lead edge late at the registration sensor. Either something delaying the paper or dirty sensor.

Clean this pulley and shaft.

Most likely sensor
Strip down clean all sensors clean all registration rollers sensor may test ok but still could be faulty. Don't for sensors on the under side of the top cover

Yesterday I replaced the scanning (B4773721) both timing pulleys(D4121661& 62) also the input gears B4773144 & B4773147. Plus cleaned and lubed transport motor gears & shaft. So far so good.

If the problem persist, make sure the black patch is completely clean (no paper dust and it should be solid black), the registration sensor works on it when there is no paper. (J006 / J056 will probably even occur if registration sensor is replaced)

I would agree if the jam code was J056 or J001 at power on.

I agree in theory (mainly J001), in the field if J056 occurs "intermittently" (even after cleaning or replacing the registration sensor) in most cases the problem is the black patch, over time they tend to rot becoming sticky, paper dust builds up easily. Painting them with a black marker pen can be a momentary solution but not a long-term . I mentioned J006 above although it happens to a lesser extent, but it is a possibility

Checking and/or cleaning all the black reference felts for me was a checklist item on every service call on Martinis. Most of mine were in high dust locations.
