I could not browse any folders on my windows machine with the MP501 touch screen. All attempts ( over 6 months of trying everything) failed. Every setting on both ends were double checked and verified. Nothing worked. Nada.
The windows 10 machine has only one user and that was the credentials I used to log in from the printer/scanner.
Keep getting Authorization errors.. Unable to connect....
Then I don't know what possessed me but I entered "Administrator" for the user name and the password I use to log onto windows.
Oh my!!! For the first time I was able to browse folders and scan to folders.
There must be a hidden Administrator account which is present.. or something?
Anyway this worked for me and I have never come across this "fix" anywhere before. Hope it may help someone.
