In the PTR box there is a little board. Disconnect it and see if your problem goes away. It will run fine without it connected.

Do you know what the service manual has to say about those 3 SC codes? Both SC452 and SC490 can be caused by a blown 24V fuse on the PSU.

SC452 and SC492 have to do with the PTR. 452 is a contact error and 492 is a HVPS error for either the ITB or the PTR.

SC490 is a lock error for the toner transport motor. It has been a few years but I believe it has to do with the waste toner collection.

I think the only options left are BICU, Controller and maybe High Voltage in that order of you are sure the PSU you installed is working fine. I would have tried Power supply first since a possible blown fuse is mentioned for 2 of the 3 SC's and then BICU next before replacing all the other parts

    Service Call "490" on MPC3300

    Hi Fellow Techs,

I am facing a really mind boggling problem with this SC Code 490 on my MPC3300.
The service code 490 pops out 1-2 seconds everytime i switched on the machine.
Apparently when i check the Service Call history, there were also this Service call SC452 and SC492 that had pop out prior to this SC490.
But thereafter, this SC490 condition is now appearing everytime i switched on the machine.
I have already tried replacing the parts/components below but the problem still persists.
    1. ITB transfer belt assembly.
    2. Transfer roller.
    3. All the PCU's (CMYK)
    4. Laser unit
    5. Power supply unit.
    6. Front door switches.
    7. Cooling fans (laser unit, front door, rear etc. I went to the SP Mode 5-804 electrical check and tested for all the fans which seem to be working perfectly.
    8. Waste collection bottle.
    9. Toner pumps on all colors.

Only the BICU and Controller board i have not replaced yet.

I am running out of options already and the problem still persists.
Appreciate much if any one of you have come across and solved this problem.

Thanks and have a good day.
